At LingoCompare, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our browser extension and website services.
1. Information We Collect
When you use our extension, we may collect the following types of information:
- Account Data: Email address, name, and billing information (processed securely via Stripe) when you register for a Pro/Team account.
- Usage Telemetry: Anonymous data regarding extension performance and error logs to help us improve stability.
- Saved Data: Specific vocabulary words you explicitly save to your cloud notebook for Anki synchronization.
2. Translation Data Handling
We do not store your browsing history or the content you translate. The text selected for translation is transmitted securely via HTTPS directly to your chosen API provider (e.g., DeepL, Google, or OpenAI) and is instantly discarded from our proxy servers after the translation is returned.
